Nicola Cerini Australia was established in 1995 and is built on a philosophy emphasising beauty, practical, high quality materials all under pinned by an environmental conscience. With an initial focus on creating original textile designs for a range of handbags, accessories and designer homewares, Nicola Cerini Australia has since grown – expanding all categories and partnering with some of Australia’s best manufacturers to regularly introduce new and innovative products. A little about Nicola: Nicola Cerini graduated from RMIT BA Textile Design in 1991 and in 1995 established her design studio and brand Nicola Cerini Australia. In her characteristic ‘Plasto’ range was introduced and quickly became a signature of her business. Nicola’s philosophy emphasises beauty, practicality, high-quality, natural materials and an environmental conscience. Her immediate surroundings, love of nature, travel and passion for Australia’s native flora and wildlife inspire her designs. Alongside her business achievements Nicola maintains her textile arts practice. Exhibiting both locally and abroad, she shares her skills throughlecturing, internships and mentorships. Nicola is passionate about textiles and Australian design. She is dedicated to creating beautiful objects and continues to explore wider applications for her designs.
