On this basis, NIPEC, Non-ferrous Industries Process Engineering and Construction company, was established with the support of NICICO, National Iranian Copper Industries Company, and the assistance of SCICO, Sarcheshmeh Copper Investment Company, as a private consulting engineering company in 1994, mainly with the aim of centralizing engineering design activities, site engineering and supervision activities, as well as superior supervision services in the field of copper and, in general, non-ferrous industries. Bringing in other expertise, NIPEC went on to aim for providing engineering services on the basis of both Management Contracting, MC, and Engineering-procurement-construction, EPC, in other industrial fields such as chemical, ferrous, mining, oil and gas, and petrochemical.
