Nippon Steel Corporation, was formed in 2012 with the merger of the original Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal. The original Nippon Steel Corporation was formed in 1970 with the merger of Fuji Iron & Steel and Yawata Iron & Steel. Nippon Steel Corporation is the world's third largest steel producer by volume as of 2017. Nippon & McDonald Steel Industries Ltd. has been formed under the agreement between McDonald Steel Building Products Limited [MSBPL] of Bangladesh and Nippon Steel & Sumikin Bussan Corporation [NSSB], Japan. NMSIL, the Joint Venture Company, is formed to operate a processing centre of FIat Products for manufacturing of processed ‘Flat Products’ and to carry out the business of Trading, Export, lmport, Supply of processed products, raw materials and related merchandise of world leading manufacturing company, in the region and beyond. This partnership allows both the companies to build on each other’s strength in line of related business.
