Nit Silchar Model United Nations

NIT Silchar Model United Nations(NITSMUN) is one of the leading MUN societies of North East India. It was founded in the year 2014 with the aim to provide a learning space for the younger people and to provide an opportunity to step into the shoes of world leaders to discuss,debate and deliberate issues of common concern. Since it's inception, NITSMUN has been successfully organizing Model UN conferences and also participating in world class MUNs held across the country thereby establishing itself as the heart of the North East MUN circuit. The annual conference of NITSMUN takes place every year around the month of February under the annual cultural festival of NIT Silchar. It is a 3 day long conference filled with exciting sessions,a wonderful lunch with all the delegates and the EB members and an extravagant socials eve for everyone. Huge number of delegates pour in from various institutes all across the country. Moreover various mock MUN sessions and conferences are organized throughout the year that helps the students enhance their public speaking skills.
