Nkumba University (NU) is a private non-for-profit University that has currently positioned itself as a one stop center for cutting edge, high-quality education and research within the country and the region. Nkumba University has positioned itself at the forefront of supporting the government in skilling its citizens through undertaking cutting edge research and providing training on courses that are of importance and are required for economic development. OUR VISION: To be a leading national, regional and global hub for academic and professional excellence” OUR MISSION: To provide quality education that cultivates competence, confidence, creativity and high moral character in teaching and learning, research and community engagement” Nkumba University was chartered by the government of Uganda in 2006 and from that time it has continued to impact on its community through education and community engagement. NU is committed to achieving this vision through an enriched learning experience that blends a variety of teaching and learning methods. NU teaching and learning process follow a blended model where traditional face-to-face teaching and learning are combined with virtual facilitation using state of the art technologies. Through an empowered and experienced faculty, NU is able to enhance students’ capacity that is desired within the industry. NU through its multi-disciplinary six schools offers certificate, diploma, undergraduate degree, postgraduate diploma, masters and PhD qualifications. It uses the eight strategic goals within its strategic plan to derive its strategic direction.
