Noel Foundation is an NGO that strives to make a difference in the lives of children by providing financial and emotional support, along with medical assistance to children suffering from Congenital Heart Defects (CHD). Founded in 2013, Noel Foundation is a registered NGO based in Chennai that endeavours to support families from underprivileged backgrounds, struggling to save their infants with Congenital Heart Defects (CHD). We hope to provide the children and their families a home away from home through the challenging process of hospitalisation and treatment. In India, over infants are born with heart defects every year - of which, about one-fifth need intervention in the first year of their life. Most advanced cardiac centres are in private sectors, and are not geographically well-distributed. This, coupled with the lack of financial and intellectual means to get the infant treated on time, is resulting in about deaths in infants due to CHD in India, every year. While it is impossible for any organisation to single-handedly eradicate an issue of this magnitude, we at Noel Foundation are endlessly working towards making a change to any extent possible.
