Noetic (Adj)\nō- ˈ et-ik\"Noetic" is derived from the ancient Greek words noētikos and nous. Though there is no English equivalent for nous, it can be translated as "intellect,""ways of knowing" or "characteristic of the human mind." It refers to "inner knowing," a kind of intuitive consciousness or direct and immediate access to knowledge beyond what is available to our normal senses or the power of reason.
