The present age, as far as Islam is concerned, has produced very few people who can show what can be accurately called Islam, and who are confident enough to offer answers to the challenges posed by the modern world. It is, therefore, need of the hour to prepare such scholars who are, not only armed with Islamic education but also expert in modern thought. In our country, we have two completely different education systems running side by side, which are in fact anathema for each other. We have an English system of education in our schools, colleges and universities, which we have inherited from the British rulers and a centuries-old Darse-nizami taught in madressahs. The former offers little to build morals, character and personality of a student and the latter is completely ignorant of latest developments in though and knowledge. By the grace of Allah, we have made an attempt at our institution to fuse modern and ancient knowledge. Jamia –tul –Imam Noman bin Sabit believes that a true Islamic scholar is not complete without modern and ancient knowledge. It is, therefore, necessary to prepare people who are adept at Islamic economics, Islamic banking, Islamic education system and Islamic politics besides being able to lead Islamic revolution and do justice to his or her duty to guide the adherents of Islam (ummat).
