Cultural and social hub connecting Australia and Italy. NOMìT (Italian Network of Melbourne) Inc.is a non-profit organisation based in Melbourne. We support a new generation of Italian migrants and promote contemporary Italian culture in Melbourne and Australia. We provide assistance. NOMìT supports newly arrived Italians in Australia through a free Information Point (Welcome Desk) based at the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne. Other settlement services include coaching and career development, English classes and counselling. Forums and seminars on labour market in Australia, temporary migrant work force and work rights are also organised regularly. We promote culture. NOMìT fosters networking, integration and connection between people with fresh ideas. Through a wide variety of cultural and educational activities, we create opportunities for young people to contribute to Australian cultural debate. We inform and connect people. NOMìT publishes Eureka! a special bimontly page hosted by the main Italian newspaper in Australia Il Globo. Eureka! and NOMìT blog (http://nomit.com.au/category/blog/) are targeted at young Italians, with particular focus on Australian and Italian cultural and social issues.
