Nonurban Foundation

The Nonurban foundation,(related to the nonurbanism movement) is a student-led non-profit organization that responds to the aspirational needs of rural communities in the global south. Founded in 2020, the organization is currently working in India, providing access to sustainable design of spaces, contributions to policy frameworks, and providing low-cost engineering solutions, pro-bono. The foundation’s latest strategy, “A call for nonurban ideas 2021", aims to increase and mobilize students all over the world towards the nonurban cause. The key idea is to refocus and mobilize young minds to generate high-quality solutions for the real-life issues faced by communities, grassroots movements, NGO’s and institutions working in the rural.
