Norcsi Gmbh

Silicon is the most intensively researched material in the semiconductor industry. At NorcSi, we combine this scientific with technological knowledge to develop high performance pure silicon anodes. Our production is based on an interdisciplinary research project launched in 2013 by the Helmholtz Centre Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) and the Technical University of Freiberg (TU Bergakademie Freiberg). Our founders and managing directors have decades of experience in special systems engineering for the photovoltaic and high-tech sector and founded NorcSi 2020 with the aim of introducing the first cyclic stable, cost-effective silicon anodes into the market. The unique synergy between semiconductor scientists and battery researchers has paved the way for us to quickly transfer knowledge gained from materials research into industrial applications.
