Nordic Batteries

Nordic Batteries enables the green shift by assembling and manufacturing battery packs and energy systems, customized for maritime and demanding industrial application. Nordic Batteries was created when ZEM’ former battery pack subsidiaries in Norway and France were bought by Inspire Invest in June 2021. We launched the BATNET consortium that won a 70 MNOK Green Platform grant in partnership with ZEM and Kongsberg Innovation. With this as initial funding, we will set up an agile fully automatic industry 4.0 assembly plant in Kongsberg, ready to produce customized battery packs by 2024. Already in 2022, we will deliver climate friendly new and re-manufactured (second life) battery solution profitably.
