Norfolk Museums Development Foundation

NORFOLK MUSEUMS DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (NMDF) is an independent charity working to support Norfolk Museums Service, its buildings, collections, staff and activities across ten museums in Norfolk. The charity was established in 2014 with the purpose of securing funding for the care and development of collections and buildings and for a wide range of activities for public benefit, including learning and volunteering opportunities, public exhibitions and events. Ten trustees from business and public sector organisations provide guidance and advice to museum staff and help to develop important links with a range of external organisations and businesses. The Foundation’s fundraising strategy supports activities at ten museums including raising funds for the Gateway to Medieval England project to develop the medieval keep within Norwich Castle. The Norfolk Museums Development Foundation is a registered company limited by guarantee and is registered with the Charity Commission.
