Norkote was founded in 1952, as a manufacturer representative company in the fire protective coating industry. Since the mid-1980’s, we’ve shifted our focus to the certified application of fire protective coatings (also known as fireproofing). Firepoofing is required on certain types of commercial and industrial buildings to meet building code regulations. Spray Applied Fireproofing, Cementitious Fireproofing, Retro-Fit Fireproofing, Mineral Fiber Fireproofing, Board Fireproofing, Thin-Film Intumescent Fireproofing, Mastic Fireproofing, Spray-On Acoustical Insulation and Spray-On Thermal Insulation are the scope descriptions of the services we provide. We have been in this business a long time and have sustained ourselves by doing quality work that meets or exceeds industry standards with safety, integrity and excellence. We have a comprehensive understanding of our industry that takes us to a multitude of diverse project settings. High-rise office buildings, stadiums, hospitals, prisons, military bases, airports, chip-plants, oil refineries, casino’s and airplane manufacturing plants are all places that we provide services. We are a union company familiar with the requirements of working in very restrictive work environments. Our office staff is capable of providing estimates, budgets, value engineering, submittals, shop drawings, certified payroll’s, affidavit’s and close out documents for both private and public work. Our field staff is very experienced and provide our customers with a well-organized work plan that minimize the impacts to other trades working on our projects. They operate with a high level of safety standards and excellent work ethics.
