NORMAL TOAST is a design-driven animation studio based in Athens, founded in 2024 by Kostas Kaparos and Angelos Gourzis. The studio blends creative direction, crafted design, and bold motion to deliver contemporary visual storytelling for brands, agencies, and cultural institutions. Working across 2D, 3,D and mixed-media animation, NORMAL TOAST produces work that feels fresh, intentional, and genuinely attention-worthy. Kostas Kaparos is a creative director and designer with more than a decade of experience and the founder of Caparo DC, a globally awarded branding agency. His background spans illustration, packaging, branding, and visual storytelling, and his work has received over 100 distinctions from organisations such as D & AD, Pentawards, Dieline, Red Dot, and ADC. He has led major projects for both local and international brands and has served as a juror in several design competitions. Angelos Gourzis is an animation director and co-founder of NORMAL TOAST. He studied Graphic Design & Animation at UniWA and spent eight years at Caparo DC, where he shaped award-winning commercial animation work recognised by ADC, the Ermis Awards, and the European Design Awards. He is also the creator of the acclaimed short film Plantasia, and specialises in 3D world-building, direction, and contemporary motion aesthetics. NORMAL TOAST collaborates with brands and agencies that seek creative leadership rather than pure execution. The studio’s approach is centered on a unified creative vision—where concept, design, and motion evolve together to produce work that is aesthetically refined, strategically grounded, and built for real impact. Recent collaborations include brands such as Piraeus Bank, ActionAid, Protergia, Plaisio, Lamda Development, OPAP, and PAPADOPOULOU, covering commercial, branded, cultural, and educational productions.
