North Bihar Industrial Corridor

North Bihar Industrial Corridor (NBIC) is a vision by NBIC Trust & being developed on Model along the alignment of the East - West Corridor (EWC) NH-27 traversing a route length of around 850 km approx. in North Bihar Development Region. Objectives of NBIC to optimize the present economic and employment potential of the region, stimulate investments particularly in the manufacturing, aerospace, Defence, agro processing, services and export oriented units and promote overall economic development of the region through creation of high standard infrastructure and an enabling pro-business environment. NBIC is proposed to be developed in a band of 100-250 Kms on either side of EWC (NH-27), in a phased manner. NBIC will have an influence area across region covering major districts of North Bihar (namely 1.West Champaran, 2. East Champaran, 3. Sitamadhi, 4. Sheohar, 5.Muzaffarpur, 6.Vaishali, 7. Saran, 8. Siwan, 9. Gopalgunj, 10. Mahubani, 11. Darbhanaga, 12. Samastipur,13. Begusarai, 14. Khagaria, 15. Saharsa, 16. Supaul, 17. Medhepura, 18. Araria,19. Katihar, 20. Purnea, 21. Kishangunj and additionally in Bhagalpur.
