North Shore TMS specializes in the treatment of TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation). TMS is a non-medication therapy for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder. Each treatment is under 20 minutes. The patient is awake and alert during treatment. TMS therapy has been approved by the FDA since 2008 for patients suffering from depression and who have not benefited from or tolerated medication. The team at North Shore TMS will work closely with the patient to explain the insurance process and their specific policy.
