North Texas Makers
North Texas Makers, previously Denton Makers Fest, is a music and arts festival founded by friends and coworkers Madison Mercer and David Baker. The event connects creatives of all types to the local community. The festival started as a small dream and grew into one of the largest art festivals in the area. Due to a popular art fair called FOLD Fest announcing its retirement in 2019, David and Madison jumped at the opportunity to revive the popular event in 2020. Over 40 local artists, vendors, and bands were all set to attend. However, the COVID-19 pandemic and nationwide shutdown stopped all of their hard work. David and Madison would not let this disaster trample their vision and took the shutdown as an opportunity to expand the show's scope. They rebranded, got more of the community involved, and made the festival bigger and better than it would have been in 2020! The First show took place on April 30th, 2022, and was a huge success! DMF will return in 2023 on April 29th, bigger and better than ever.
