About Us. North Twin Builders, LLC is an ongoing family business established in 1971, well- known in the northwoods for providing quality custom built and traditional homes. John Volkmann, Sr. started North Twin Builders as an independent building contractor. Over the past 4 decades the business has expanded into 20 highly skilled and dedicated employees. North Twin Builders continually sets high standards for the craftsmanship of our homes. We service Northern WI and Upper MI. Towns in WI that we service include Land O Lakes, Three Lakes, St. Germain, Eagle River, and Conover. Towns in MI include Watersmeet and Iron River.
