Northern Environmental Consulting

Small firm which specialises in assessing terrestrial and aquatic environments as part of site assessments for northern abandoned mines. Work has been conducted for federal and territorial agencies as well as aboriginal groups and northern communities, often in association with larger consulting firms. The research usually involves design of field programs, collection of samples and coordination of analysis, the statistical analysis of results and report preparation. Work for northern communities involves design of surveys for the community and communication of results in meetings and workshops. Other functions involve environmental program design, critical literature reviews, statistical analysis of chemical contaminant data and report writing.
