The purpose of the Northern Lights Foundation is to provide local children facing a life-threatening illness with an unrestricted grant for their family to use during a very challenging emotional and financial time. Over the past 15 years, we have raised more than and made grants to hundreds of Northland families. We work to assist as many families as possible who fall under the following qualifying conditions: At the time of referral, the medical condition has become life-threatening Child is up to the age of 18 Family lives within 100 miles of Duluth, Minnesota
