Northvolt North America

Bonjour, Hej! Welcome to Northvolt in North America. From our main office in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, we are gearing up for the construction of Northvolt Six, our first project outside of Europe and Quebec's first gigafactory. Powered 100% by North America's most sustainable, low-carbon energy, Northvolt Six will supply 60 GWh of high-quality battery cells every year — enough to power 1 million electric cars. Northvolt was founded to enable the transition to a decarbonized future by establishing a sustainable battery industry. To do this, we’re pioneering a new approach to battery manufacturing rooted in a commitment to fossil-free energy, sustainable sourcing of raw materials and recycling. Building the world’s greenest battery is no easy task, but with passionate problem-solvers from around the world, we strive to set a new benchmark for sustainability in the battery industry.
