NOVAK Winery is a family-owned winery located in the village of Tartaul in southern Moldova. Built on the foundation of the large Tartcomvin winery, our winery represents years of professional expertise and a constant quest for innovation. Led by winemaker Andrey Novak, we are dedicated to blending traditional winemaking methods with new technologies and experiments, bringing unique character to each vintage. Our commitment to this blend of tradition and innovation has quickly established the Novak brand as a prominent name among small Moldovan wineries. Our wines, known for their rich, intense flavors and complex bouquets, have earned numerous prestigious international awards. At NOVAK Winery, we focus on cultivating our own vineyards and harnessing the unique features of the local terroir. The southern part of Moldova, where our vineyards are located, offers slight elevations, abundant sunshine, a warm climate, and special soil composition. These elements combine to create a unique terroir that enhances even familiar varieties like Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. We are also passionate about reviving unique grape varieties, such as Alb de Onițcani. Developed by Moldovan winegrowers in the 1960s and thought to be lost, this variety was rediscovered by our winemakers. Our efforts have successfully brought Alb de Onițcani back into production, adding to the diversity of our wines. In the past four years, NOVAK Winery has achieved significant success on the international stage, winning over 100 awards, including 43 in 2023 alone. This success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of winemaker Andrey Novak and his team.
