NuDesign has released the next generation of software tools and SDKs, assisting networking vendors in migration from today’s SNMP and CLI only management interfaces, to solutions using YANG data models and supporting NETCONF / SNMP / CLI and / or Web / RESTCONF access for monitoring and remote configuration management. Several industry networking projects have selected the IETF and OpenConfig NETCONF / YANG standards as their remote configuration protocol and data modeling language, coupled with the SSH transport protocol for secure implementations. NuDesign’s YANG Datastore Server, the core of our management system, is extended and instrumented using NuDesign’s ndCONF Agent Builder, our automated code generation tool. This tool produces Loadable Data Handlers (LDH) extension projects, with nodes derived from definitions in the YANG modules. New extensions are added as required to extend the management scope of a Server. The so extended YANG Datastore Server is deployable with any combination of protocol specific NuDesign Access Agents (NETCONF, SNMP, CLI and / or Web / RESTCONF), providing an OEM device with a well integrated remote configuration management and monitoring solution that exposes any required protocol interfaces needed for access via provisioning and management applications.
