Nugas Victoria

The National Union of Greek Australian Students (NUGAS) is a politically non-partisan organisation established to coordinate, organise and respond to events, policies, activities and issues that affect Greek-Australian tertiary students and the wider community. The aims and objectives of NUGAS Victoria are: 1. to represent Greek-Australian students at both their tertiary campuses and within the wider community on both a national and international level. to become an active body in encouraging community awareness and involvement in student issues. to co-ordinate the efforts of affiliate clubs and to develop state policy on issues of concern to Greek-Australian students. to be an effective voice for Greek-Australian students on issues of concern to them. to encourage the learning, appreciation and integrity of the Greek culture both amongst its members and the wider community. The NUGAS Victoria affiliate clubs include: • La Trobe University Greek Society (LUGS) • Deakin University Greek Society (DUGS) • Monash Hellenic Students Society (MHSS) • Melbourne University Greek Students Association (MUnGA) • RMIT United Society of Hellenes (RUSH) • Swinburne Hellenic Society (SHS) • Victoria University Greek Society (VUGS)
