Nutricare Malawi

NutriCare Malawi is a food innovation and climate-nutrition enterprise transforming local crops and edible insects into affordable, nutritious foods that improve child health and sustain communities. Our mission is to make access to healthier foods a reality for every household, while creating livelihood opportunities for women, youth, and smallholder farmers. By linking farmers, mothers, and markets, we build inclusive circular food systems that upcycle agricultural by-products into high-protein ingredients and organic fertilizer. This approach reduces food waste, strengthens local economies, and contributes to climate resilience across Malawi and Sub-Saharan Africa. Through research, partnerships, and blended-finance models, NutriCare bridges the gap between nutrition innovation and sustainable agribusiness. We believe that healthier people and a healthier planet go hand in hand and we’re proving that sustainable nutrition can drive growth, equity, and environmental stewardship all at once.
