Nyla Alyn was founded by Janice Chow shortly after she was diagnosed with breast cancer the summer of 2020. During recovery after undergoing a double mastectomy, she found that options for post-mastectomy bras were limited and drain management was hardly addressed. With her years of fashion design experience, she partnered with her team of medical professionals and set out to design and develop a well-designed post-surgical bra that meets all the patient's medical needs for a healthy recovery.
