Puerto Rico is home to millions of scrap tires stockpiled in landfills. OAFA Rubber was founded in Yabucoa, PR, with a simple goal in mind: “Solve Puerto Rico’s scrap tire waste problem & then more.” OAFA Rubber creates a second life for scrap tires, decreasing the need for virgin materials to produce our products. OAFA Rubber uses innovative tools and technologies to convert post-consumer used tires into reusable raw materials such as high-quality color-coated rubber granulates, molded rubber goods, shock-absorbing athletic flooring, as well as landscape and playground color-coated rubber mulch. As an eco-industrial company, we believe that one person’s waste is the raw material for another; that is why OAFA Rubber is dedicated to turning used tires into new, innovative, eco-friendly, sustainable products that improve the environment and people’s lives.
