Learn more at Our story As soon as we saw Oceanstone, we knew this was the adventure that we had all been looking for. We bought Oceanstone Resort in December of 2011, and spent that winter renovating the whole resort. Almost every aspect of the resort has had some renovation or expansion, while still keeping the overall charm that everyone has fallen in love with. The business started out as a family business, but over the past year we have expanded our partners to include friends of the family. Our partners include Tim and Bernardine Moore, Matthew Moore, Chris and Lizzie Moore, Colin and Carol Dodds, James Dodds, TV host Jeanne Beker and Murray Vandewater. Together we share a lot of laughs, decisions, and fun. We are all committed to ensuring that Oceanstone retains its unique charm and appeal as it becomes one of the best resorts in Nova Scotia.
