Odd Garden

Odd Garden, a site-specific green design studio, was established in Milan in 2013 from an idea of Matteo Foschi. The specific and transversal approach to each realisation connotes the soul of the studio, intimately linked to the city in which it operates and from which it draws continuous inspiration."An ordered disorder" is the stylistic signature, developed over the years, with which Odd Garden signs all its permanent and temporary works. The name - ODD (odd, but also unconventional)- reflects the essence of the studio, which Matteo Foschi, founder and creative director as well as the studio's designer himself, describes as "a centre of gravity that regulates the surrounding chaos, a synthesis of the methodical use of compositional schemes - to create dynamism and heterogeneity - and the energetic search for a balance between aesthetics and functionality". MISSION - GREEN LIFE DESIGN What Odd Garden aims to disseminate is not simply a product, but a true lifestyle. Through specific and exclusive solutions, the studio creates green spaces aimed at improving the quality of life of those who enjoy them and at developing a collective green consciousness that embraces issues such as eco-sustainability and the ability to coexist with other living beings. The studio's designers and gardeners, well aware that life is the main characteristic of the medium used (plants), work with respect and awareness, essential ingredients for achieving the desired result. Designing, in the green sphere, cannot be reduced to paper or the monitor: time and care must be dedicated, towards the plants and towards the client's needs. The use of canonical composition and colour theory, combined with technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of the plant elements and materials used, allows each individual realisation to be enhanced, in harmony with the characteristics of the raw material.
