Oestvik Energy has experience with assisting ship owners/designers to realise flag and class approved hydrogen ship systems and efficient bunkering solutions. Experience is with world's first LH2 driven ship M/F Hydra and with pressurised hydrogen systems for fishing boats (ZeroKyst). The alternative design process is utilised to get flag/class approval ensuring safe and robust solutions. Main weakness for a widespread adoption of hydrogen-driven ships is the missing supply chain and this issue is being targeted together with energy suppliers in Norway. In these early days of hydrogen-driven ships it is vital to develop the supply chain in parallel with the ship project.
