Ojima Inc

Ojima Inc. is a wholesale company based in Yamagata, Japan. Mr. Hachiro Ojima established the shop for oil, fertilizers, and cereals in 1930. During the Showa period, the company expanded to deal with cement, oils, sugars, fertilizers and feeds as a limited partnership under the name Ojima Hachiro store. In 1949, it became a joint stock company, The Ojima Hachiro shop, after the controlled economy was cancelled post-World War II. In 1955, the company separated into different sections: the fertilizer chemical commercial firm section became Ojima BC & Co, Ltd, and the estate agent section became Obihachi Ltd. In 1973, the company established Lodge Scole & Co, Ltd and ventured into hotel management. Finally, in 1994, the company developed garbage disposal products to address environmental problems.
