Okyra develops projects and activities for public and private sector. Expertise includes investment promotion, innovation and R&D management, international cooperation, business development, entrepreneurial activity, and other themes. Customers include private and public companies, agencies, NGOs and Universities. Featured projects- led the development of Investe SC, the investment promotion agency of Santa Catarina state. The pipeline grew from 34 to more than 140 investment projects in just 15 months (valued at US$ 2,7 bi), leading SC to become the 2nd most competitive state in Brazil according to Financial Times (previous year: 4th)- ran multi-country project (financed by the European Union) for the development of regional innovation systems in biotech and agribusiness in Santa Catarina (Brazil). It involved other provinces: Cordoba (Argentina), Emilia-Romagna (Italy) and Baden Württemberg (Germany), and several government agencies- supported the creation and implementation of Inova@SC, the innovation agency in Santa Catarina, leading key projects and processes (e.g, Tech Parks in Lages, Joaçaba, Concórdia, Joinville and Jaraguá do Sul cities)- implementation of food processing unit and modernization of organic farming cooperative practices in low development index region (Apiaí – São Paulo state).
