Ollumia

Ollumia is a precision personal colour analysis studio based in Kuala Lumpur, developed specifically for Southeast Asian skin tones. Our methodology replaces imported seasonal systems with a diagnostic approach grounded in measurable colour science and calibrated observation. For decades, personal colour analysis has been shaped by Western lighting conditions and complexion assumptions. While these systems can appear convincing in limited cases, they often fail to perform consistently across different skin depths, undertones, and regional lighting environments. Ollumia was created to address this structural gap. Our system evaluates how colour interacts with an individual under controlled, near-daylight conditions, rather than assigning categories based on intuition or aesthetic preference. This allows guidance to remain consistent, explainable, and applicable beyond the consultation room. Each analysis is conducted within a fully calibrated CRI 98 lighting environment designed to eliminate external colour distortion. Observations begin with objective colour measurement using the CIELAB colour space and continue through personalised CRI98 light calibration matched to the client’s visible skin response. Digitally calibrated diagnostic drapes allow colour behaviour to be observed rather than inferred. Ollumia’s methodology is developed, maintained, and governed in-house. Defined sequencing, calibrated environments, and diagnostic standards ensure outcomes are repeatable across practitioners and consistent across clients, without reliance on personal taste or subjective judgement. We created Ollumia because clarity builds confidence.
