Olva Medical is a medtech company specializing in the field of cardiology. Olva Medical develops a portable and reusable electrophysiology platform. Electrophysiology interventions allow for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, a major public health issue. These arrhythmias lead to a decrease in quality of life and increased mortality: 20% of strokes are caused by atrial fibrillation, the most common arrhythmia. With the aging global population, the number of cardiovascular patients is increasing significantly. At the same time, hospitals' financial and material resources are becoming increasingly constrained. Our solution, an electrophysiology platform that fits into a briefcase with reusable catheters, allows for more affordable and safer electrophysiology interventions. Our innovation stems from research conducted at the IHU Liryc, the leading research center in electrophysiology in Europe.
