OMERS Private Markets (“OPM”) manages approximately ~$20 billion in equity through investments in the infrastructure and private equity asset classes on behalf of the OMERS pension plan. Through investment arms Borealis Infrastructure and OMERS Private Equity, OPM’s strategy is aimed at generating superior, risk-adjusted returns to help deliver strong and sustainable pensions to OMERS members. Borealis identifies, pursues and manages investments in infrastructure businesses on behalf of OMERS, as well as for other large institutional investors. Its diversified portfolio of large-scale assets is generally protected by regulated or contracted revenue, inflation and other guarantees that contribute to reliable income. OMERS Private Equity undertakes investments in private companies by identifying market leaders, partnering with strong management teams to unlock value, and supporting and accelerating growth with resources and capital.
