OMTEC provides consulting engineering and research services in variety of areas: alternative fuel (customization of biomass briquetting systems), custom mechanical engineering design, and fabrication (3D CAD Design, milling, turning, welding), maritime defense, pulp and paper and software engineering services including architecture, requirements, design and development, coding, testing, test automation, QA, agile and waterfall project management; product management. Installation, configuration and maintenance of software and databases. Since 1996, Omtec has been providing research, design and prototyping services to the automotive and maritime defense industry. In 2006, Omtec began supplying ground wheat straw fibers from Southwest Ontario to various Ontario universities for compounding research and experiments.
