1969 – The Beginning Late Mr. Jivanbhai Patel carved a door and entered it to start Omtex with a mission to produce healthwear and accessories of quality standards matching those of the best in the world 1979 – Pioneering the Industry We were now a pioneer in making elasticated underwear for men capturing markets nationwide. This year also marked the entry of Mr. Dilip Patel as Chairman. 1982 – Winning hearts Omtex was awarded the Gold Medal at the Trans World Trade Fair, which was felicitated to us by the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh. With this success we also started the business of manufacturing Jockstraps and Supporters. 1989 – The Sporty Milestone We saw another milestone when omtex specialized into sports and started to lead the business. We began manufacturing health supports and body supports. This year we also saw the entry of Mr. Vijay Patel as the MD of Omtex. – Taking Business Ahead With the continuous efforts and hard work of Mr. Dilip Patel and Mr. Vijay Patel, we gained momentum and were also manufacturing high quality sportswear. 2005 – Majors in Sports Industry We successfully gained good name In the sports industry. After capturing majority of the Indian sports, we made uniforms for numerous cricket clubs and associations. 2008 – The International Way We took a leap forward and started dealing with international clubs from countries like Australia, UK, Canada, West Indies, etc. We also began importing training equipment. 2013 – Swee-ing The family got bigger and omtex started women’s shapewear brand ‘SWEE’ led by our new director Ms. Richa Pania 2016 – ‘FITNESS FIRST’ Following our managing director’s idea about health and fitness, we launched a new brand, ‘Omtex Fitness’ at the Body Power Expo 2016. THE SUCCESS CONTINUES Omtex started its own e-commerce website. We are now best sellers in may categories on major online portals like amazon, flipkart, etc. We now have a new director Mr. Kunal Patel for further development.
