On Canada Project Inc

Part community activation hub and independent edu-media and part social impact consulting group with one common goal - creating delicious invitations into social good so we can all participate in protecting our shared futures- On Canada Project was started by Samanta Krishnapillai in April 2020, with the sole focus being meeting the needs of Canadians by creating a temporary grassroots passion project to support people in navigating disinformation around the pandemic. To our surprise (and delight) OCP Media arm grew to become Canada's largest community-centred social media platform. This unexpected success led to a crossroads - one path being the career trajectory Krishnapillai had planned for and the other being a leap of faith into the unknown by scaling OCP from a temporary tool for social good to a long-term force for good. Taking a leap of faith, Krishnapillai chose the path less travelled. But of course, doing this would require resources, infrastructure and support, so OCP transitioned from a passion project into a social enterprise equipped with a consulting arm, now known as Good Trouble Studios, leading to Gina Uppal joining as a partner in July 2021.
