Ong Pades

The Economic and Social Development Support Program (PADES) is a Togolese NGO created in 1992 and legally recognized by the State. It operates primarily in the Kara region, with the mission of strengthening the technical, economic, and social capacities of populations to foster their empowerment. PADES works in key development areas: sustainable environmental management, water-hygiene-sanitation (WASH), food security and nutrition, entrepreneurship and employment, decentralization and local governance, gender equity, and social development. The NGO supports rural, peri-urban, and urban communities, as well as groups, cooperatives, and individuals, by providing technical and financial assistance tailored to field realities. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors elected for a renewable two-year term. Its operational team is composed of professionals, volunteers, and interns committed to working closely with community stakeholders, technical and financial partners, and local public authorities. With strong local roots and a participatory approach, PADES is firmly committed to inclusive and equitable development dynamics in Togo.
