The “Why” behind our tagline. Society puts today’s athletes on a pedestal, and for good reason. They inspire us. They teach us life lessons. They bring communities, families and relationships together. They give us hope when we need it most. Practically, our economy depends on them. And it’s not just pros either—youth sports alone is a $40 billion industry (and growing). We at Onrise believe that the world doesn’t just admire elite athletes. The world needs them. They’re more than competitors or entertainers; they’re role models. They’re modern day heroes. They’re also real people with real needs. We hear what they go through - not just the stuff of heroes, but also all the stress on the field, and how that amplifies all the challenges off of it. We also recognize there are others who can relate to intense pressure to perform: members of the military, firefighters, police officers, doctors, emergency workers, frontline workers, utility workers and more. We built Onrise to take care of as many modern heroes as we can. Their needs far outweigh today’s systems of care, and the world must innovate in order to take care of them the way they deserve. We’re doing that in two primary ways, ironically by being both more tech-enabled and human-centric: Our model of secure, on-demand virtual care meets their “always on” lives, ensuring care is always responsive and private. Our combination of clinicians and peer support is here to stay, not just because we believe in it, but because heroes today demand it. They want to talk with actual human beings who have walked in their shoes, with the assurance that more advanced care is always within arm’s length. This is the “why” behind our tagline.
