Ontario Private Equity Limited (Ontario) is a private equity investment firm focused on investing in middle-market consumer product and service delivery companies. Ontario partners with businesses in conformity with the business principals and philosophies which have served as the foundation for the successes enjoyed by each of Ontario’s companies over the last few years.Ontario proactively seeks investment opportunities to partner with operating executives in management buyouts or recapitalisation, as well as growth capital financing for companies. Of particular interest are companies with unexploited growth opportunities effective in segments undergoing major changes such as consolidation, significant growth and/or turn key products. Ontario targets small and medium sized private business that meet some or all of our criteria, which include: the potential for growth, adequate assets for loan collateral,experienced management teams with significant ownership interest in the business,adequate capitalisation, profitable operations based on cash flow, potential opportunities for Ontario to realize appreciation and gain liquidity in its equity position, incubation of start-up businesses, based on their potential for the above, investment amounts varying from R 50 million to R 250 million, being determined by the entity’s ability to repay, or gear-up based on the collateral base.
