We are systems-focused research-practitioners with a passion for understanding complex problems. We bring the power of systems thinking into action to improve livelihoods worldwide. We put people and their livelihoods at the center of our work. We seek to push the boundary of what is possible when we embrace landscapes of complexity with compassion. Open Water Systems is a dynamic, experiential consulting group focused on the application of systems thinking and modeling approaches to address the world’s most challenging and endemic issues. By employing a suite of innovative tools and analyses we seek to make systems approaches meaningful, accessible and grounded in local perspectives. With a systems-focused approach, we reveal novel insights about root causes and feedback mechanisms that can be leveraged to create cascading systems change. Through thoughtful, iterative R&D, OWS seeks to develop interactive and impactful approaches to harness the power of systems thinking to tackle complex dimensions of sustainable global development.
