Opendot

OpenDot was founded in 2014 as a Fab Lab and innovation hub by the multidisciplinary design studio Dotdotdot, with a mission focused on social impact. To expand and strengthen this commitment, in 2025, it begins the transition to becoming a Foundation. OpenDot has always operated through a network of partners—including universities, research centers, communities, local administrations, businesses, and Fab Labs—and has developed strong expertise in managing European projects dedicated to innovation, participation, and social activation. OpenDot is a multidisciplinary team of designers, makers, developers, and communication experts, capable of guiding its partners through all stages of project development, from co-creation of the idea to its final implementation. OpenDot utilizes accessible tools and methodologies based on the open-source philosophy, enabling the creation of scalable and replicable solutions while amplifying impact.
