Opengrad Foundation

Opengrad Foundation is a non-profit focused on making elite college education accessible to everyone in India. We provide #nocost coaching for entrance exams to top colleges, focusing on those facing barriers to higher education, especially from underprivileged communities. Our platform offers video classes, mock tests, and personalised support, with a strong community of volunteers and mentors. Our focus is on empowering individuals, especially those who are the first in their families to pursue higher education, people in underserved areas, and those in rural communities thus creating role models to uplift such communities. We're proud of our strong partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, and prestigious institutions. Together, we work on creating courses, distributing resources, and mobilizing volunteers, all with the aim of making access to quality education available to everyone. Currently, our offline operations are focused in Kerala and we are digital serving students across India. The problems solved by Opengrad Opengrad is tackling the barriers that prevent many students in India from accessing higher education. These barriers include: 1. Lack of Awareness about entrance exams especially in Rural areas 2. Lack of relatable mentors 3. Accessibility to resources is a bottleneck 4. Majority of population cannot afford coaching 5. Cultural barriers By providing free, accessible coaching and mentorship, Opengrad aims to level the playing field and empower students from all backgrounds to succeed.
