OpenOffice is a research based design firm. Founded by Sol Camacho in 2009. Research as Design & Design as Research is the way that we operate. Our research agenda explores the design challenges emerging from the evolving contemporary regional landscapes, and the conflicting dynamics in the patterns of urbanization. OpenOffice has been working on projects mainly in Mexico, Brazil & USA, dealing with issues of urban design, landscape, transportation, conservation, master planning, and architecture in different scales. OpenOffice is also engaged in research on architecture and design pedagogical methods as well as promoting design & art related cultural events.
