OPERA Architects - Parisian Office for Architectural Studies and Research is an architectural firm created in 1993 by François GRUSON. He was joined in 2008 by Bertrand VERNEY, with whom he now shares the management of the company. OPERA Architects has long devoted itself to public procurement and the construction of public facilities in the fields of health, education and research. For several years, the agency has gained strong recognition in the field of collective housing, particularly social housing, both in new construction and in heavy rehabilitation and restructuring. The agency has won numerous national public competitions and has received several prizes for its achievements: Prize for the First Work in 1993, Grand Prix National du Geste d'Or in 2015 and 2016, Interreg Beffroi d'Or Prize for the best France-Benelux architectural achievement in 2016, etc. Most of his works have been the subject of publications or exhibitions in France and internationally (Pavillon de l'Arsenal, Cité Nationale de l'Architecture, Venice Biennale). The agency holds several technical patents which it has filed in cooperation with industrialists and construction companies.
