Operation Civilian

Operation Civilian is an organization designed to assist veterans to bridge the gap from the military to civilian. Every year thousands of service members separate from the armed forces only to enter a market that fails to understand their experience and underestimated their value. The Department of Defense provides a transition assistance program for separating members. However, after years of indoctrination into the military culture, a one-time program is not enough. At Operation Civilian we believe that our nation’s veterans deserve more. Our goal is to ensure that no veteran is left behind. With more than nonprofits designed to help veterans and their families, it is difficult to navigate which organization will be most effective with assisting with a transition. The homeless veterans population does not even have the tools, i.e, a phone to find the right support. The purpose of Operation Civilian is to connect veterans with the organization best suited for their needs. At operationcivilian.com users will gain access to content related to assessments of the different veteran organization, stories about the veteran transition experience, and interviews with veterans. We cannot do this alone. The home of Operation Civilian is San Diego California. Southern California has a large population of active duty, reserves, and veterans and is the current segment of focus. The goal is to extend our reach across the nation by utilizing the network of veterans.
