Operation Sunshine Wa

Operation Sunshine is a volunteer-run charity which supports children and young people in family support management and out-of-home-care and accommodation across Western Australia - including regional and remote areas. We'd love to hear from anyone interested in helping us grow! In 2020, we distributed more than 1,600 "Sunshine Packs" to children entering foster care and refuges, many of whom arrive with nothing bar the clothes on their back. This includes necessities such as their own bag and change of clothes, as many children enter care and crisis accommodation with no belongings, as well as therapeutic support items such as soft toys and colouring books. Even just receiving something to call their own, when their world is turned upside-down has a huge psychological benefit. The importance of this service cannot be overstated.
