Opt4smart
OPT4SMART started as an EU research project funded under the excellence program ERC Starting Grant and now continues as a research lab. OPT4SMART mission is to develop optimization, control, and learning methods and tools for complex autonomous systems and cooperative robotics. As an interdisciplinary team, we tackle challenges posed by complex autonomous systems and cooperative robots to improve their efficiency, safety, and security in areas as robotics, energy systems, autonomous vehicles, smart mobility, aerospace, and health systems. Our objective is to design theoretical methods, effective numerical tools, and experimental solutions to solve learning, decision, and control problems in the above domains under large-scale size, real-time constraints, and communication limitations. We approach these research challenges from a systems-theory perspective and via a combination of optimization, controls, and AI tools.
